2019-2020 Team Lightning!
Competitive Team
The Competitive Team will add another tier, working on competition outside of the gym. We start with the same base as the Recreational Team and expect a higher level of commitment from gymnast and parent. The coaches will set the workouts with the intention of perfecting skills required for competition, while simultaneously acquiring skills for advancement. These athletes need to be physically ready to work the advanced skills. Individuals must work outside of the gym on a daily basis to create healthy habits, to gain strength and increase flexibility. Parents will show a commitment by getting the gymnast to every workout possible on time and for the full length.
The Competitive Team will have two separate programs: Xcel and USA Gymnastics (USAG) Level Teams. For more information, please see Women's Artistic Gymnastics, Xcel Program on the USAG website at www.usagym.org.
When you choose the Competitive Team track of Xcel or USAG and as the skills become more refined, your workout choices need to conform to ECG’s set workout days and times. Your options will narrow. We are hoping to field a single group of gymnasts willing and able to compete at a certain level. When the entire team at the same competitive level is able to work out together, we can build an enthusiastic team spirit! We believe this will help develop the competition mindset for each individual gymnast and help them reach their gymnastics goals.
Monthly Tuition rates are based on the number of scheduled hours. Please contact the office for monthly tuition rates.
